Hello and Happy Beginning of the School Year,

We excitedly welcome students, staff and families to ring in the 2022 - 2023 school year! The school observed class closure during the month of July, after holding our first summer program in June. We return with much fervor and hope. 
In the school we specialize in preparing for a future beyond our current day - this is why we established the Environment as one of our school pillars; on the first of September we join in prayer with our Church during the Season of Creation, to "listen to the voice of creation” which may foster in everyone “a concrete commitment to care for our common home.” Link to learn more about the Season of Creation.

Hello SJMS Community,

We want to first begin by stating, we acknowledge that world events of war have left us all in a very uncertain state of mind and heart. Here at St Joseph Mission School, we stand alongside, and hold in prayer our brothers and sisters in lands faced with the ravages of war.  We answer the call of the Holy Father, Pope Francis, to fast and pray for the end to war and towards peace. 

Many blessings to you and your loved ones during this Lenten season. May it be a time of peace and reflection, for all who celebrate. In this month's newsletter, SJMS would like to invite you to reflect on the opportunity of new growth, and the hope and peace that our chapel provides. 

The Annual Report was mailed out in December 2021. In the report we include wonderful stories of our past school year as stories of alumni who continue to feel the effects of St. Joseph in their lives. We also share glimpses of the efforts made to keep our school running as well an appeal to support our needs and mission to educate the children of our area.

On February 17th, 2022 the New Mexico lifted the state mask mandate.

St. Joseph Mission School promptly responded to this news with a school update through video message from our principal, Antonio Trujillo.  We encourage all friends of the school to watch the video update below for how the school will commence forward.

​Hello SJMS community,

The beginning of this year has been met with much reflection on all our blessings from 2021 and our plans for 2022. Our ultimate goals in our classes growing in relationship with the Lord and in supporting each student in love and respect. We see our classroom instruction along with school events as the opportunities to foster this growth.

In this newsletter we will be sharing on the pillars we celebrated during Catholic School Week this year, along with spotlighting our Pre-K Program.

Thank You for a Wonderful Year! Through 2021 we received so much support through our St Joseph Mission School community. We're filled with gratitude for everyone who has volunteered or worked with us, donated to a campaign, and spread the word about our school. An outstanding "thank you" to our St Joseph parents, who partner alongside the school in their students' education! 

In reflecting on the past year - our staff gathered before our school's Christmas break to share gratitude for the ways in which the team has been there for one another. It was a moving time of prayer, which expressed how significant all our efforts are in supporting one another and in supporting the students. 

In this January Newsletter we want to share some of our student's academic achievements, how our school celebrated the Christmas season, along with introducing some new staff which joined the team in the 2021-2022 school year.
