LOIS WACONDAFIRST AND SECOND GRADE TEACHER
Lois Waconda is as a 7th year teacher at St. Joseph Mission School, but has taught for 30 years in other school districts. This school year she serves as a combined 1st and 2nd grade class teacher.
She has a Bachelor's degree from UNM and a Master's degree in Special Education and Reading from Highlands University, Las Vegas, NM. Lois lives with her husband, Al and her dog, Pepper, in Paguate, NM. She is a grandmother of 3 and a great-grandmother of one. Mrs. Waconda loves to read, watch British mystery shows, and paint with watercolors and acrylics. Her family enjoys fishing and cooking outdoors. Mrs. Waconda enjoys working at St. Joseph Mission because the students are eager to learn and are free to express and practice their Catholic faith.
