LEANN "LEA" EMERSON

Ms. Emerson serves as our Reading Assistant, on a volunteer basis.  She was born, raised and attended school in the Milan/Grants area.  Lea graduated from the New Mexico State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.  In 2022, she retired from Cibola County Schools after being blessed with a rewarding career of loving and teaching many beautiful kindergarteners.

Family is everything to her.  She was raised by 2 loving parents, has 6 brothers, and 1 sister.  Ms. Emerson has 2 beautiful adult children.  Holidays are reunion times for her family.

Lea loves to travel, walk, and read.  Her volunteer time at St. Joseph Mission School consists of one day a week.  As a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, she also participates in service projects throughout her community supporting youth, elderly, and the homeless.
