REBECCA ANNE RAYTITLE I COORDINATOR
Rebecca A. Ray is presently serving as the Title I Reading Teacher at St. Joseph Mission School. She began her education journey at St. Joseph Mission. After completing the eight grade she attended Mary’s High School, but graduated from West Mesa High School when the Senior High at St. Mary was closed. After high school she attended the University of New Mexico where she received an Associates of Arts in Education, a BS degree in Education and lastly a Master’s degree in Education.
Rebeca worked at the Pueblo of Laguna School for 40 years teaching grades First, Second, Third, and Fifth grades during her career there. While at Laguna she sponsored the Laguna Elementary Dance Group. The group performed in Washington, DC, at the Lighting of the National Christmas Tree, Las Vegas, NV, "Save the Children" conference and many other National Meetings & conferences. She served as a member of the SACNAS Education board, a member of ASISES Teacher Cohort. Rebecca also attended many National Educational conferences and workshops. Rebecca lives in Paguate village with her husband Ron, a Vietnam Veteran. She has a daughter Ronette, who is a Iraqi Veteran, and a son, Lance. She is a proud grandmother. She serves on the POL Election Board. Rebecca has served at Laguna for forty years, retired, but returned to work at St. Joseph Mission.
